Christian Family Life Center, Inc.  (CFLC) was co-founded by Joan Bystrom and Kathy Van Dyke in l979 primarily as a counselling agency.  CFLC branched into domestic adoptions in l982.   They focussed  and became advocates  primarily   for   "open adoption"  in  domestic adoption.  CFLC has been blessed to have worked with hundreds of birth mothers and adoptive parents over the years in building families through adoption.

Their international journey began with Romania in l997 and expanded into Guatemala, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan.  CFLC is no longer involved with Romanian adoptions due to the present moratorium.  However,  CFLC has been active and considers itself   blessed to work in other Eastern European  countries as as well as Guatemala.   Adoption is a needed reality due to each country rebuilding its infrstructure after the fall communism.

CFLC expects to expand its services into specific areas of counselling relative to adoption issues.

Christian is a non-profit corporation and a state licensed child placing agency.
