Christian Family Life Center, Inc.
networks into Russia to offer programs in more than 37 different regions in Russia (and
Kazakhstan). The children in Russia are placed on two child registries for a specific
amount of time. The two registries are the Central Registry and the Local Registry. The
Central Registry is for the country of Russia, in which a child remains on for a period of
six months. The Local Registry is for the region in which the child lives. A child stays
on this registry for a period of two months. After the specific period of time, the child
is taken off the registries and a family is able to commit to the child. The child can be
placed on both registries at the same time, therefore allowing a commitment to begin at
the end of the Central Registrys six month period.
